Wesleyan Suspect Apprehended Last Night
Last night at 10:00PM Stephen Morgan, the man who allegedly shot and killed Wesleyan junior Johanna Justin-Jinich on Wednesday of this week. Morgan reportedly walked into a Cumberland Farms in Meredin, CT – just 10 miles away from Wesleyan – and asked the clerk to use the phone to call the police. WFSB (Channel 3 News) has an exclusive video showing Morgan in the back of a police car as well as an interview with the clerk who helped Morgan dial the police’s phone number.
Morgan is in custody in Middletown under a $10 million bail and is being arraigned today in Middlesex Superior Court.
This brings an end to much of the suspense and confusion behind the tragic event, allowing the Wesleyan community to being mourning and return to normal life.
Continue to keep the Wesleyan community as well as Johanna’s family and friends in your thoughts and prayers. I’ll provide more updates regarding memorial services, rememberences, and vigils as they are planned.
Don’t forget to check out Wesleying as they have also been following this story very closely.
