Want the old Facebook back?

Get the old facebook back
Do you happen to be one of the thousands of people out there dreading having to adapt to the new Facebook? If so, have no fear! There is no an application over at Facebook that uses some magic to get you the old, familiar lovable Facebook you’re missing right now. Visit the application’s group, install it and you should be good to go.
While we’re on the topic of Facebook, don’t forget to fan us at our FB Page and join the FB Group.
Want to try out the new Facebook?
Update 2: Eh maybe not, all I ever see is the new Facebook still…who knows, if it works for you leave a comment.Â
Update: Facebook has apparently updated the site to have the new design by default. You should be forwarded to http://new.facebook.com automatically when you visit http://facebook.com
While I know this isn’t exactly “Trinity news” I figured it pertains to most any college student out there, especially Trinity students. There has been a lot of talk recently about the new Facebook and what it will look like, well, guess no more because you can now try out what the new Facebook will look and feel like.
Instead of visiting facebook.com as usual visit http://new.facebook.com instead and it should bring you to the new Facebook, completely functional. It worked for me and for others, although it didn’t work for my friend at Georgetown, so it might not work for everyone.  It’s pretty cool anyways. Here is a picture of the new profile page for those of you that are curious:

TrinTrin is now Facebook official
I actually almost wrote a post about how we, unlike 6 other NESCAC schools, lacked a real web presense almost any and everywhere college kids go right now, especially Facebook.
I’m relieved to see that someone in the TrinComm office seemed to get into the whole Web 2.0 phenom (or maybe they didn’t and this is student-lead) and make the first Trinity College Facebook Page, adding us amongst the ranks of Middlebury, Wesleyan, Hamilton, Bates, Williams, and Amherst.
If you’re in the spirit, you can of course still become a fan of TrinTalk at our Facebook Page and join the Facebook Group as well!

Please, please, PUH-LEASE become a fan of TrinTalk on Facebook to help us spread the word!

That’s the link, it doesn’t hurt, I swear. Plus, this way is a lot less annoying than being spammed with group invites…although we’re not above that…

P.S. Shout outs to Kurt Murphy for help with the new header.
